J Cole allows us to take a glimpse into his world as we watch him in this video breaking down how his latest song “Power Trip” came to life. It’s a very natural setting as he relives the creation of the track with his fellow Dreamville crew in the studio.
He talks about how originally when he created the beginning of the beat, he thought it’d be an R&B song. He was already thinking of who to pass it to. As the beat progressed though, he realized the potential the song could have and he couldn’t deny it.
The video really allows us to appreciate Cole and his craft that much more. It felt like we were in the studio with them feeling the vibe! Watch the video and even check out the beat J Cole made for Jay-Z.
